Has it ever crossed in your mind if batteries could be the answer to Indonesia’s traffic problems?
Traffic problems in Indonesia are increasing, especially in Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya. To address this problem, USAID SHERA’s CCR focused on innovative technologies, the National Center for Sustainable Transportation Technology (NCSTT), will develop a better use for batteries in transportation. NCSTT is working together with PT KAI, PT INKA, PT PINDAD and PT Pos Indonesia.
Batteries use in transportation is expected to improve the industry of sustainable transportation.NCSTT is led by Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) and invites researchers from Universitas Sriwijaya, Universitas Diponegoro, Institut Teknologi Kalimantan, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The Battery Research Group at MIT, also providing research and training support to the NCSTT Indonesian higher education institutions.
